2 ounces hot water
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla syrup or sugar, to taste

ice

*Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea

Ingredients:
2 cups water
1 cup Splenda low-calorie sweetener
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
6 green tea bags
4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Preparation:
Add water, Splenda, ground ginger, and lemon peel to medium saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to where it sustains a gentle boil and cook for about 7-8 minutes. Remove from heat and add the green tea bags. Steep this tea mixture for 10 minutes, stirring or dunking the bags often.
Remove tea bags and stir lemon juice into the tea liquid. Cover and refrigerator for up to 1 to 2 weeks.
To make a cup of iced tea, pour 1/4 cup of the concentrated tea mixture into a tall glass and stir in 3/4 cup of sparkling or seltzer water or club soda. Add ice cubes and enjoy!

*Green Tea Tiramisu
Ingredients:
9 oz marscarpone cheese
3 oz sugar
4 pieces yolk
8.5 oz whip cream
4 oz water
3 oz syrup
0.5 oz matcha green tea powder
0.5 oz gran marineir

Directions:
1)Knead the marscapone cheese until it becomes creamy.
2)Beat sugar and yolk until it becomes fluffy.
3)At first, add 2 tablespoons of (2) into (1) then later, the rest of (2) also add into (1).
4)Whip cream until foamy consistency.
5)Combine (3) and (4).
6)Pour (5) into the mold and put on the green tea cakes which are already cut into 1/4 inch and cover with syrup. After that pour the rest of the syrup into it and repeat the same.
7)Finally, strain green tea powder with powder sugar for garnish

*Peachy Iced Green Tea

SIMPLE SOLUTION: INGREDIENTS
6 green tea teabags
6 cups cold water
2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

1. Place teabags in a large teapot or pitcher.
2. Put sliced peaches in a saucepan, add cold water, and bring to a brisk boil, then pour water and peaches over teabags.
3. Steep for 6 minutes, then add sweetener (maple syrup, honey or Succanat are recommended). Allow tea to cool, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
4. Include a few peach slices in each glass and serve with a spoon, garnished with a sprig of mint, if you like.

Even Easier Alternative Method: Make a pitcher of green tea and add the contents of a can of organic sliced peaches. Chill thoroughly

*How to Brew a Cup of Green Tea:-

Producing the perfect cup of green tea is a tricky process. If not handled properly, those same polyphenols that provide health benefits can ruin the flavor, making the tea taste "gassy." It's particularly important not to overbrew. While it's best to follow the manufacturer's instructions for each variety of green tea, here are some general

instructions:
Use one tea bag, or 2 - 4 grams of tea,* per cup.
Fill a kettle with cold water and bring to a boil.
After unplugging the kettle, allow it to stand for up to 3 minutes.
Pour the heated water over the tea bag or tea, and allow it to steep for up to 3 minutes. If using a tea bag, remove the bag.
Allow the tea to cool for three more minutes.
*One to two teaspoons, depending on the variety of green tea you are brewing.

ENJOY :-)

Green Tea Extract Side Effects

Have you wondered about green tea extract side effects?

Although green tea is a natural substance, that doesn’t mean it is totally innocuous. People have allergies to all kinds of natural things, for example, and even drinking too much water can cause problems! So although green tea has a lot of healthy benefits, you need to be aware of the possibility of side effects.
.

Potential Green Tea Extract Side Effects

Most people have no problems with green tea. However, it does contain caffeine, and if you have problems with that substance, you should be careful with taking green tea extract capsules.

Some of the less serious problems associated with green tea include:

  • abdominal bloating and gas
  • frequent urination
  • irritability
  • restlessness
  • sleeplessness
  • upset stomach

Other potential serious effects include:

  • Allergic Reaction
  • Anxiety
  • Breathing difficulties
  • High blood pressure
  • Irregular heartbeat or palpitations
  • Seizures

Obviously, you need to seek medical attention for such symptoms. The problems are usually associated with an allergy or too much caffeine.

Drug Interactions and Green Tea Extract

Caffeine present in green tea extract may heighten the effects of some drugs to dangerous levels, such as ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, theophylline, aminophylline.

Also, green tea contains tannins which may decrease the absorption of some medications so that you are not getting the full effect of the dosage.  These include: atropine, Cardec DM®, codeine, ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, Lomotil®, Lonox®, theoplylline, aminophylline, and warfarin.

.
More Green Tea Extract Side Effects

The tannin in green tea can prevent iron absorption. IF you have too much iron in your system, this can be a good thing, but if you are anemic because of too little iron, then green tea extract would not be a good thing for you to take.
.
Pregnancy And Green Tea Extract Side Effects

During the first trimester of pregnancy, there can be problems with too much green tea. Since green tea extract concentrates the green tea, it is probably better to avoid taking extract capsules during the early stages of pregnancy. (Read more about green tea and pregnancy here.)
.

The Bottom Line on Green Tea Extract Side Effects

To discover the specific green tea pill side effects for the product you are taking, read the labels for the specifics on that brand.

With so many products available, if one gives you problems, it could well be another would work just fine for you and you can enjoy the potential benefits of green tea extract capsules.  You may have to go through a bit of trial and error before you are able to find the right green tea extract for you, but as long as you know that there are lots of options out there and that you should not give up just because you don’t find the right one immediately.

With a little patience, you can find a good product without any green tea extract side effects.

Plum Blossoms, Green Tea, and Pretty Geisha – Ume Matsuri at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, Kyoto

To celebrate plum blossoms and Tenjin-sama, the god of learning, a festival is held at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto where geisha serve visitors matcha green tea. Since it was my birthday I thought I would have tea with those geisha as one does. Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is a beautiful shrine especially during Plum Blossom season and when the geisha come but it hides a dark past of political manipulation, fear, guilt, and the need for appeasement of a vengeful spirit.

Green Tea Flavor Coca Cola

The beverage industry in Japan is fiercely competitive with vending machines on nearly every street corner and new and interesting concoctions and campaigns being placed before the consumer every month. One of the most interesting results of this fight for market share is the periodic release by the big names of Coke and Pepsi of unique and interesting variations on their traditional cola flavors. The most recent to appear is Green Tea Flavor Coca Cola which is being reviewed with this video. However, the first prize in the uncanny category must go to Pepsi for their short-lived summer release of Cucumber-flavor Pepsi. As if the name alone was not enough to twist your lips the light green bottle was an eye-opener to every cold beverage fan who happened upon this drink during the summer months of 2007 (I may be wrong about the year).

The Advantages of Green Tea For Your Health

Green tea has become increasingly popular as more and more benefits to drinking it are discovered. The Chinese has been consuming it as a medicinal beverage for thousands of years, but in the states, it’s a fairly recent phenomenon.

Green tea comes from the leaves of the same plant as black tea, Camellia sinensis. However, it is treated differently because the leaves are steamed. That keeps the antioxidant compounds from being oxidized or chemically altered.

What Can Green Tea Do For You?

  • Evidence suggests that it can help to fight certain types of cancer and heart disease.
  • Green tea boosts weight loss by promoting the oxidation of fat.
  • Drinking green tea on a regular basis can lower cholesterol and stop blood clots from forming.

Not all green tea health claims have been verified, such as drinking green tea helps burn calories. It is also claimed to stop the onset of senile dementia and treat Multiple Sclerosis, too. These claims are not backed by scientific evidence at this time, but neither have they been proved wrong.

Some Like It Hot, Some Like It Cold

A cup of hot green tea is a nice way to start the morning, but it also can be brewed to make a great iced tea. You can even purchase ready made soft drinks with green tea. However, you like your tea, green tea has several advantages.

Good Things In Green Tea

The advantages of green tea are the great health benefits that come from the polyphenols that Camellia sinensis leaves contain. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant and they fight harmful free radicals in the body.

Be aware, however, that green tea does contains caffeine so like any other caffeinated beverage, consuming too much of it could lead to side effects such as anxiety, excessive urination, diarrhea, insomnia, restlessness and heart palpitations. To prevent this, you could choose the option of a naturally decaffeinated green tea.

Other Uses For Green Tea

Not only can you drink green tea, but other food products use green tea extract as a flavoring. Some of these include, ice cream, desserts, cooking pastes, syrups and rice cakes. The extract can also added to some home made recipes or taken as an herbal supplement.

There are even beauty products containing green tea because of its powerful antioxidant properties. You can find it in some face and body moisturizers, fragrances, cleansers, shower gels, face masks, soaps and serums.

If you enjoy the fragrance of green tea, there are aromatherapy candles, potpourri and air fresheners that contain green tea essential oil.

Advantages Of Green Tea Abound!

In fact green tea is currently so popular that new products that contain it are being manufactured all of the time.

However you decide to use it, there are many advantages of green tea.
