I pickled some small white pearl onions and they are turning green. Is that normal? ?
I pickled some small white pearl onions and they are turning green. Is that normal??? With the onions i added some garlic cloves as well, i put salt white vinegar, and apple cider vinegar in the brine solution, however i did not boil any of the above at all. I just threw them all in a jar and watched to see what happens. its been a week. did i do something wrong, and will they be safe to eat??
When you bake salmon with garlic on top, it sometimes turns green. It's OK because it's some sort of chemical process that occurs. Don't worry, it's fine.
