Poll on fish entrees?
Which one would you prefer? Why?
1. Grilled Maine Salmon with Lemon Caper Vinaigrette, Grilled Vegetables and Jasmine Rice
2. Mixed Grill of Local Seasonal Fish (Tilapia) with Warm Citrus Vinaigrette Grilled Vegetables, Scarlet Emperor Beans and Steamed Organic Greens
Too be honest, I don't even know what scarlet emperor beans are! ![]()
Good point about the "mixed grill" I'll have to ask the caterer what that means.
We already picked a meat dish, a chicken dish and a vegetarian dish. Now we're trying to decide on fish.
#1 was really good, the dressing was subtle but added a nice twist.
The problem is we only got to taste 6 entrees at our tasting and we didn't taste the tilapia. The other fish we tasted was a sea bass. It was amazing but then I got worried when my sister told me tilapia is a less fishy fish than salmon or sea bass and so it's more liked by people who don't like fish.
I would go with the salmon, it is more common and the sides sound more appetizing, the tilapia with the weird sides may scare some people off. Although if you are also providing a chicken or steak alternative than just pick what you like and if they are not really fish people, they will get the other item.
