Can I use the typical alcohol and green tea herb combination to make green tea liquid extract?
I don't think so. I worked in an MD's office with an on-site herbal pharmacy and we produced over 200 liquid herbal extracts. The practitioner still chose to prescribed two pre-packaged forms of green tea when called for, both very small amounts in a package and both very expensive. This leads me to believe that either a special process is used or that the proportions of the dry herb to the alcohol needed to yield the desired results is different than your average decoction.
